The Pastor’s Points
Allow your heart to reveal what your head cannot express with words. In Romans 8:26 the scriptures teach us when we don’t know what to pray for nor how we should pray, the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. There are times when our experience is so awesome we cannot speak .... we’re lost for words. As we become wiser, we talk less and say more.
When we really focus in on God, we see a beauty in the world we’ve not seen before. There are times, watching our children play or sleep, our eyes moisten and, with a sigh, we express an eloquent ‘Thank You’ to God.
The grace of God can wrap our tears in joy. The touch of God can comfort an aching heart even in the midst of silence. In the darkness of grief, loneliness and despair, the love of God allows the light of His glory to shine in. These are times some of our greatest prayers are prayed in groans that cannot be expressed in words. We form a prayer too deep for words to express.
Life according to God’s will is more than lifting the anchor or being freed from the weight of sin. It is starting the engines and allowing God to direct you on your course.

Sonshine Club
Our October Sonshine Club was held Tuesday, October 21st at 11:30 AM. We had 70 in attendance. Please mark your calendar for the November 18th meeting. Our two special guests will be a pleasant surprise. All of you know them. They will offer some special healthy holiday ideas for eating. Sooo goood!!
FCC Church Family Directory
Our church family directory is coming together great.
We have many funny stories to tell!! Mrs. Janet Huhn and Miss Pat Guidera, professional photographers who have their own studio and the most modern equipment, are putting together a special church family directory which they say each family will be proud to place on their coffee table. A free copy of this directory and a free 8X10 picture will be given to each family who participates. Additional pictures may be purchased if you desire. They can also create Christmas cards and other items using your pictures. It is very interesting to visit their studio on Schumaker Pond and see their various nature background settings. Special Memorial Service
On December 7th at 6:00 PM a special memorial service is planned. If you have lost a loved one this past year, or would like to remember someone special from a previous year, please ask any of the church officers about forms and any questions you may have. This is a wonderful and rewarding service. As we share in this very special time of precious memories, this service offers comfort, healing and closure. A special candle will be lit for each loved one remembered and a special angel will be presented to each family. Refreshments will be served following the service. Everyone is invited.
Holy Humor
A husband came home and asked is wife if she thought there was life on Mars... She said, “I don’t know about Mars, but I know there is life on Pluto. You need to buy him a flea collar.”
I’m sure the brightness in little boys comes from their fathers. For example, after Sunday School, little Johnny asked his father what kind of lights did Noah’s ark have. Without hesitation, his father said, “I am sure they were flood lights.”
By the time a man is wise enough to watch his step, he is too old to go anywhere.
